What happen in the past that is something we can relate to?
Back during the 18th century, we, the United States, has faced a similar situation just like the citizens of North Korea. At the time, many people from England was coming to America. However, when they came here, it was not how they expected it to be. On the contrary, it was complete different from how they expected. The King controlled the thirteen original colonies and just like in North Korea, there was zero freedom.
The King started taxing everything imaginable. The King started taxing tea, lead, materials, home, properties and many other things. They King didn't allow the colonist to have the freedom of speech and the press. The colonist weren't allowed to give out their opinion, protest, or say anything bad about the ruler. The King stopped a newspaper from printing because the editors wrote something back about the King. He controlled the colonist but having his troops supervise and watch the colonists' every move.
Just like the King, the leader of North Korea does not allow the citizens to say anything bad about him too. The people In Korea aren't allowed to express their opinions and they read propaganda newspapers that tell all about the leader’s achievement instead of his failures. The leader doesn't treat them fairy and make unreasonable laws which was similar to how it was back in the 18th century. However, every problem has its solution.
